Julie Peyton
Whether it is placing laser focused energy as a parent, business owner, mentor or volunteer, Julie Peyton does it all with enthusiasm and pride. It is her dedication to helping people across the globe that fuels her passions. Since 2014, Julie has made her presence known throughout the Women of Tomorrow organization as a mentor and PBC Council board member. Her role as a mentor gives her joy, while creating guidance and empowerment for the young women at Village Academy in Delray Beach. Julie spent her youth in Baltimore, MD. She graduated from University of Rochester and earned advanced degrees from Bank Street College of Education in New York City. As an educator, she worked in both private schools and the NYC Board of Education. In 2001, she moved to South Florida with her son Jesse. Over the past 15 years, Julie has enthusiastically dedicated her charitable energies to help feed people in need through co-chairing Empty Bowls Delray Beach, co-chairing events through JAFCO and raising significant funds for the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM). As a regional leader as well as a national patron, Julie advocates for the museum’s commitment to teach of the Holocaust and other genocides to inspire people worldwide to confront hatred, prevent genocide and promote human dignity. Other leadership endeavors include a three-year term as PTO President at American Heritage School in Delray Beach, serving as board member for Impact 100 PBC and is an honorary founder of Education Rocks. In addition to her volunteer activities and a bit of globe-trotting, Julie is co-owner and co-founder of Under the Sun, a hair care treatment line.
